Raf Simmons Joins Prada as Co-Creative Director
The accomplished Belgian designer Raf Simmons— who has previously designed for Christian Dior and Calvin Klein — will take up the role of co-creative director at Prada.
The designer will work in partnership with Miuccia Prada with equal responsibility in creative decision-making. Simons and Prada have known each other since around 2005, when Simons was appointed the creative director of Jil Sander, then owned by the Prada Group.
The partnership will officially come into effect on 2 April with the first joint collection due in September. This is an exciting launch to look forward to this AW20 as the two of the most influential designers in fashion align.
